The goal: to fill the mind, body, and soul with pure goodness- we all could use a bigger dose of it!
Mind
Ok, so maybe we should begin a bit further back... It was nearly the last semester of my college career when my interest was peaked in the area of health and nutrition and I had an urge to change my major. Figures! I spent years studying public relations and I was so close to a degree that I had to grab it and keep a dot-dot-dot in mind with the possiblity of returning to school in the future. Two years later, I now have a great job as Practice Manager in an ER- it entails a bit of public relations and so lucky for me my studies have paid off! But I do still crave learning about health and nutrition, so my plan now is to dust off the reading glasses and take a trip to the good ol' town library and do some surfing of the world-wide web to study nutrition. Meanwhile, I will allow this blog to be my notebook.
Body
Even further back than my college years... I was "Brit brat," and "small one," a scrawny little blonde that bounced around, climbed to the tip-tops of trees, jumped the highest on the trampoline, rode my bicycle (seriously- it was my main source of transportation) to the icecream shop, on my paper route, to my friends houses, I was a gymnast, dancer, and runner. Today, I am not quite as active as the child I once was but I still consider myself a runner and in the past few years i've become a yogi as well. My goal is to continue to stay active but to venture out and try new things like hiking, swimming, and maybe even some kickboxing. We shall see.
Soul
I guess I should really begin at the beginning... the very beginning! I was born into a wonderful family and was raised in the LDS Church-where I have gained a personal relationship with my Father in Heaven and Savior, Jesus Christ. I've been taught by example to become a virtuos and pure woman-- and I am still becoming her. This blog will also be a spiritual journal for me in my journey to become my potential.
The blog name: "Wholeheartedly" is a bit of a play on words-- it is my goal to acheive wholeness, but I am also putting my whole heart into this endeavor.
Definition of WHOLEHEARTED
1
: completely and sincerely devoted, determined, or enthusiastic <a wholehearted student of social problems>
2
: marked by complete earnest commitment : free from all reserve or hesitation <gave the proposal wholehearted approval>
So, I guess this is where it begins and through this blog we'll see where it leads...
Wholeheartedly,
Brit
